Help and Support
If you require assistance when arriving at the hospital, for example, a wheelchair, please ask at reception which is located to your left as you come through the main entrance of the hospital or ask any member of staff for assistance.

Chaplaincy Service
Chaplaincy services are provided by a part-time team comprising Church of Ireland, Methodist, Presbyterian and Roman Catholic chaplains. The chaplains visit the hospital on a regular basis but arrangements can be made for anyone to contact their own chaplain if they wish. Visits take place on wards and prayers for healing and the sacrament of Holy Communion are available on request.

if you are admitted to the hospital, you will have an opportunity to indicate if you would like to be visited by a hospital chaplain or you can ask the nursing staff to contact the chaplaincy service on your behalf.

Altnagelvin Hospital has a prayer and reflection room located on Level 2 opposite the Intensive Care Unit. This is for the use of all who enter or visit the hospital as a place for quiet meditation and private prayer.  It is also used for occasional and special services.
