The South West Acute Hospital opened its doors to patients at 8am on 21 June 2012. Patients were transferred from the Erne Hospital as it closed its doors to all future admissions.

The South West Acute Hospital has up to 210 in-patient beds and 22 day case beds. The hospital delivers a wide range of services including (note this list is not definitive):

Also included on site is staff and key worker accommodation, an energy centre and a creche.




There is a restaurant based on the first floor and is open everyday at the following times:
8.30am - 11.30am
12.00pm - 2.30pm
3.00pm - 5.00pm
5.30pm - 7.00pm

A small coffee shop is open on the ground floor, next to the convenience shop from 9.00am - 6.00pm. 

ATM facilites are also available on the ground floor nearby to the convenience shop.
