Lisnamallard Industries Hosts Summer Open Day

Lisnamallard Industries is hosting its annual Summer Open Day on Thursday 2 June 2011, from 10am to 4pm to showcase their summer range of crafts and horticultural goods for sale including a selection of bedding plants, planters, filled garden containers, hanging baskets and window boxes.

Marian Walsh, Lisnamallard Industries Centre Manager, said “Lisnamallard Industries is a facility provided by the Western Trust offering community based structured work and training for mental health clients. Our Summer Open Day gives us the opportunity to invite the wider community to see first-hand the types of seasonal services and products available and to support the work done at Lisnamallard.”

Marian continued: “Garden enthusiasts can purchase summer bedding plants from our extensive range including: Marigold, Lobelia, Petunia, Geranium, Busy Lizzy, Begonia and Fuchsia. Customers can return to the Centre to have their planters, window boxes and hanging baskets replanted by our experienced horticulture team in perfect time for summer. Our staff will be available during the Open Day to advise customers on suitable choices of bedding plants and shrubs for your garden.

“As well as our Summer Open Day Lisnamallard Industries have launched a new range of personal development, therapeutic programmes and training activities including: walking groups, needle crafts, relaxation, confidence building and self esteem, budgeting and numeracy and literacy skills.

Marian added: “Western Trust staff and clients at Lisnamallard work hard to provide a valuable and practical contribution to the local community through the provision of quality products and services within all the departments. Our customers are all highly valued, whether individuals, local businesses or employers, and we thank them and look forward to their continued support and would encourage everyone to join us again at Lisnamallard this year to view our summer products.”
