Doctor Paul Darragh
Is Chairman of the BMA’s Northern Ireland Council, former Chairman of the NI Staff and Associate Specialists Committee (NISASC), and currently Northern H&SC Trust (NI) Rep on NISASC, a member of the SASC UK Negotiations Subcommittee and an Associate Specialist in Acute and General Medicine/Gastroenterology in the Mid-Ulster and Antrim Hospitals. As Chairman of the BMA’s NI Council since 2009, he has been engaged in formulating and promoting BMA(NI) policy in a rapidly changing,challenging environment.

Professor Rory O'Connor
Is the President Elect, International Academy of Suicide Research. Professor O'Connor has an international reputation for conducting high quality, theoretically grounded and innovative research into suicide and suicidal behaviour. He recently proposed the integrated motivational volitional model of suicidal behaviour and is an editor of "The International Handbook of Suicide Prevention" (2011). Professor O’Connor leads the Suicidal Behaviour Research Laboratory, University of Glasgow.
