The new Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex which opens in June 2017, will have a total of 863 spaces across eight onsite car parks. 705 of these spaces will be free for all site users and 158 will be paid, at a rate of 80p per hour.

Commenting on the arrangements, Teresa Molloy, Director of Performance Management and Service Improvement said: “We are extremely pleased to announce the transport and parking arrangements for the new Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex. We have listened to the views and expectations of patients, staff and other site users and are providing 705 free parking spaces on the site, a significant increase on what is currently available at the Tyrone County Hospital and Omagh Health Centre."

The Western Trust has also agreed a new bus contract for the new Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex  with Translink.  The daily service which will operate from the Omagh Bus Station, will give the local community a reliable public transport option to and from the new hospital complex.

Commenting further, Teresa Molloy said: “The team have done a great job and worked extensively with Translink to set up the new bus arrangements to and from the new Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex, we are fully aware that many users will want to access the site by car, but we had to ensure that there is also an appropriate public transport option in place."

The Western Trust is implementing traffic management and car parking operational procedures on the new site to ensure the site access is maintained and there is no abuse of the car parking provision, particularly the disabled car parking spaces.
