Car Parking Arrangements at new Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex The Western Trust wish to inform the public about the transport and parking arrangements in place in advance of the opening of the new Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex.

Opening on Tuesday 20 June 2017, the new Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex will have a total of 863 car parking spaces across eight onsite car parks. 705 of these spaces will be free for all site users with the remaining 158 spaces paid at a rate of 80p per hour.  Patients entitled to financial support with travelling costs under the Hospital Travel Costs Scheme (HTCS) will be entitled to have their car parking costs reimbursed. In addition the Trust has developed Concessionary Parking Guidelines so that some patients and visitors can avail of free parking in discretionary situations, for example, patients attending the hospital frequently over a prolonged period, or relatives/carers visiting or sitting for lengthy periods with very ill patients.

The Western Trust is implementing traffic management and car parking operational procedures on the new site to ensure the site access remains clear and there is no abuse of car parking provisions, particularly disabled car parking spaces.

The new Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex shuttle bus service will commence on 21 June 2017. The new service (service 384e) will operate Monday to Friday, leaving every half hour from 8.00am to 6.00pm and then hourly until 9.00pm. This new service will provide a reliable public transport option to the new Hospital site for patients, staff and visitors.
Timetables for the Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex (service 384e) are available from Omagh Bus Station. Visit

From 20 June 2017 we are providing the public with a two week grace period as parking measures come into effect on the new hospital site. Paid for parking on the 158 paid spaces will not be implemented during the 2 week grace period, and in addition any parking charge notices implemented will be given as a warning until the week commencing 3 July 2017 when operational procedures and paid parking will come into full effect.”
