If you are being admitted to Altnagelvin and your admissions letter asks you to phone the ward on the morning of your admission, please ring before you leave home. Sometimes another person may have to be admitted in an emergency so it’s important that you check that your bed is still available.

If you need directions to the hospital, contact our Patients’ Advocate (see ‘Contact us’) who will be able to help. Ulsterbus runs a service into the hospital grounds from the city centre.

If you need an ambulance to get to hospital, your GP will arrange this. Contact your GP as soon as possible.
