Phoning home and taking photos |
Mobile phones are not allowed in certain areas of the hospital where they can interfere with hospital equipment. Patients and visitors should check with the nursing staff if it is safe to use them. Most wards have a portable payphone that can be brought to the bedside if patients can’t get up. There are payphones in other areas throughout the hospital.
Patients or visitors can take photos on the ward using a camera phone, or any other camera, but must ask a member of staff first. Other patients or staff may be included by accident in photos and this could affect their rights to privacy. |
