Donations

Some patients or relatives want to say ‘thank you’ for the care and treatment received by donating money to the ward, to the hospital generally, or even to a particular member of staff. Members of staff are not allowed to accept money for themselves, though small gifts such as flowers or chocolates can be accepted and a ‘thank you’ card or note is always welcomed. While it is not at all necessary to make a donation, the money can help towards extra equipment or furniture for patients or staff, or towards extra staff training. Donations can be made to a range of accounts, but all cheques need to be made payable to “Western Health Social Care Trust”.

If you would like more information about how to make a donation, ask the ward sister, or contact the Patients’ Advocate (see
Contact us), or go to the Cash Office on the first floor.
