Our Service

Sensory support service offers a comprehensive social work and rehabilitation service for children and adults who have a significant sensory loss and/or Tinnitus. There are two sensory support teams within the Trust based in Old Bridge House, Derry/Londonderry and Drumcoo Centre, Enniskillen.

We work with people of all ages who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, visually impaired, dual sensory loss and Tinnitus.

Services include:

Social work assessment/risk assessment for individuals and carers.
Rehabilitation programs to promote independence and maximise vision for those with a significant sight loss e.g. mobility training, daily living skills.
Assessment and provision of specialist equipment for those with hearing and/or visual loss e.g. listening/alerting systems.
Lip reading classes
Tinnitus Support groups/workshops
