Family Intervention Service

The Family Intervention Service has responsibility for ensuring that those children and families identified as requiring ongoing social work support by the Gateway Service receive this service.

    

They strive to work in partnership with children, their families and other agencies. The Family Intervention Teams undertake further assessments of the child’s needs and implement a plan of intervention to meet those needs.

    

They provide ongoing tailored support to those children identified as being in need of protection.

 

    

When a child can no longer reside with their family they continue to endeavour to work in partnership with families to best meet the child’s needs.
