Children's Residential Care
Residential children’s homes provide safe, caring and nurturing environments in order to facilitate the growth and development of each young person.
They assist in the preparation of plans to provide the most suitable placement to meet each child of young person’s assessed needs ie remain in residential care, return home or live with family members, live with former foster carers or prepare for supported or independent living arrangements.
Residential staff work closely with other Trust colleagues in assessment, planning and providing effective “interventions” to promote life changes and prepare for adulthood. They continue this work, supported by other agencies covering health, education, sports and other relevant aspects of childhood and adolescence.
