Family Support Services

“To strengthen families and ensure better outcomes for children by working with children, families, professionals, communities and other organisations.”

 

The Family Support Service places an emphasis on maintaining children in their families and communities, through strengthening parenting capacity, encouraging and assisting positive parenting and promoting the well-being and safety of children with assessed needs. 

     

The Family Support Teams provide a range of services to promote the well-being and safety of children in their families of origin. They work in partnership with with external statutory, community and voluntary agencies and support the establishment of family centres to provide services in local communities to help with parenting and establishing links to ensure the safeguarding of children in need.
