Arthroplasty Review

The Arthroplasty Review Service is run by Sr Rhonda Moore who, in conjunction with the orthopaedic consultants, reviews Total Hip Replacements, Total Knee Replacements and Shoulder Replacements.  The service holds clinics in both Altnagelvin and Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex in order to see patients as near as possible to their own homes.

Monitoring of surgical outcomes is undertaken through the recording of Oxford Scores which assess the patient’s abilities before and after surgery.  Further monitoring is also undertaken through the G7 Hip Research Study and the National Joint Registry Database.  More information on the National Joint Registry can be found here and by visiting there website at, click here.

After hip, knee and shoulder replacements Sr Moore can be contacted if patients have any queries are experiencing any problems or need advice.  Her contact details can be found on the discharge advice leaflet.
